BUSINESS TRAVEL CLUB The HRS Business Travel Club (BTC) is based on the Commerce platforms of the well-known hotel portal businesses of HRS.de and HOTEL.DE that transform into much more than “just” a platform: BTC provides its members, individual business travelers, and SMEs, with a distinct range of exclusive services, which shape tomorrow´s safe, sustainable and upgraded travel experience. The primary purpose of BTC is to create loyalty between HRS and its customers. We envision a Prime-like system for Business Travelers, where members get on “golden handcuffs” in exchange for superior benefits and services. Thus, the Club and its products play an important role in HRS´s DACH strategy as it revolves around disruption of the interplay between hotel and workplace supply and e-commerce and domination of the Business Travel DACH market.
POSITION We are looking for a DevOps Engineer that will contribute to the national & international development teams to build new products as well as implement third-party software components into the HRS Software Landscape. These new products will help our customers to manage their work-life smart, safe, and in a fully sustainable way – from arranging convenient overnight stays to booking flexible workplaces and making payments on the go, the intelligent mobile companion comprises all essentials needed to make travel hassle-free, rewarding and above all CO2 neutral.
The position is located as an important interface between the needs of customers, external partners and collaborates closely with product management, UX/UI, and other Product Owners within HRS.
CHALLENGE Be part of a team to develop and deploy the Backend applications on AWS cloud architecture using Java and relevant technologies. Define and manage cloud infrastructure as code (IAC), improve CI/CD pipeline, ensure scalability and availability of the system, build a monitoring stack, and automate build, configuration, and deployment orchestration scripts, ... Utilize a broad toolset for DevOps/Infra and leveraging variety of services from AWS Improve speed, efficiency, and scalability of all systems. Build and optimize CI/CD for operation and deployment as automatically as possible. Monitor, troubleshoot and manage all environments of the team. Work with the engineering team and take architectural decisions. Have knowledge of network protocols and Standards
FOR THIS EXCITING MISSION YOU ARE EQUIPPED WITH... Bachelor’s Degree in IT technology or related field Understanding and experience with AWS: Account administration, Billing, IAM users/roles, etc Practical experience with multiple Infrastructures as Code tools: Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation or SAM Orchestration of containerized apps with Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, etc Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD processes in GitLab. Experience and understand the concept of software architecture and its related technologies: Serverless, Microservices, Event driven architectures, RESTfull API/ SOAP, CDN, etc Understanding and experience with networking: Load balancers, TCP, UDP, etc Experience with source control and related concepts Proactive and self-driven Fluency in English, spoken and written

LOCATION, MOBILITY, INCENTIVE The attractive remuneration is in line with the market and, in addition to a fixed monthly salary, all necessary work equipment and mobility, will also include an annual or multi-year bonus.
