YOU As a Senior Product Designer (UXPD) at Simpson Strong-Tie, you will be responsible for driving the design process from concept to production, ensuring the creation of innovative and high-quality products that meet both user needs and industry standards. You will be a part of a cross-functional team, collaborating with front-end engineers, project managers, and subject matter experts to build world-class user experiences. This role is crucial in contributing to the success of Simpson Strong-Tie as a leader in the construction solutions industry. This is a hands-on creative role, supporting the user experience of a suite of single page web applications. Last but not least, you will also collaborate with the other Product Designers and enable grown for the Team. PROJECT DESCRIPTION Our new project web application PIPELINE and interactive Tool (Pathway & LBM) have been designed from the ground up to provide easy and flexible solutions for customer’s business. PIPELINE delivers: • Full master-plan estimates with delta Bills Of Materials reports • Purchase orders from lot-specific, as-built reports • Managing options for all assets relating to houses, communities and lots • Option-on-option scenarios • Full array of materials using dynamic assemblies

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING • Design wireframes, user flows, interactions, and experiences that are simple, intuitive, and consistent. • Deep understanding of design system principles and best practices. • Assist in conducting usability studies, UX research, and competitive research. • Use data to drive your design decisions. • Quickly iterate on design solutions with outputs like wireframes, interaction flows, high-fidelity mockups, user stories, screen specs, personas, etc. • Rapid prototyping as a means to quickly explore, iterate, and convey design solutions to solve difficult UX challenges. • Be an advocate for design thinking and help promote its use throughout the organization. • Help establish frameworks and style guides as well as promote and encourage their use. • Provide training and knowledge sharing. DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE If you can do everything listed above, you’ve got what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too: Experience: • 4+ years of proven experience in product design, with a comprehensive and diverse portfolio. Design: • Strong design sense with regard to layout, color theory, composition, and typography. • Strong knowledge in wireframing, prototyping, user testing, interaction, and visual design. • Good user research and usability testing. Software and Technology: • Expert level skills in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite. • Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence. Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating production ready visual and interactive product design across web and mobile platforms. Communication: • Excellent speaking skill and can clearly articulate your ideas, designs, and suggestions. • Ability to write in a clear, concise and organized manner for the intended audience. • Ability to effectively present information to groups of managers, team members and customers. • Fluency in English is a must. Personal qualities: Teamwork, reliable, leadership, integrity, trustworthy, punctuality, creativity, confience, courageous, flexibility, interpersonal skills. Knowledge: Design Principles, ideation, branding, typography, UI Design, UX Design and Prototyping, design Tools, stylings, prior knowledge of HTML and CSS is a plus. Others: • Able to perform Research and Development (R&D), and keep updates with trends. • Able to propose, define, and optimize processes. • Able to train and grow competencies for self and others. • Able to manage other team member(s) is a plus.
