Product Owner Lead is responsible for supervising and ensuring the product owner team is efficient at defining features, epics, and stories into detailed functional and non-functional requirements and acceptance criteria. She/He should ensure that the product team that she/he is leading have all of the necessary details to deliver high-quality products while creating scalable, maintainable, and reusable solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analysis
Works collaboratively with VinID Pay Product Director, Product Team, Development team, and Solutions Architects to analyze and scope common scalable service based solutions that may benefit the product suites and reduce redundancy Works collaboratively to assist product owners in grooming and planning activities Works collaboratively with other members of the organization to facilitate, explore, and decide upon solution alternatives to business problems and examines the cost/benefit analyses of design alternatives while considering the long-term roadmap Clearly identify scope of feature collaboratively with other product owners, solution architecture, and development team Proactively generates relevant ideas for new and improved use of technology, based on knowledge of the business, products and systems, and customers' business needs 2. Prioritization & Planning
PO Lead is responsible for the supervising of the prioritization and planning efforts for the product owner team, specifically: Sets iteration themes and assigns prioritized items (User Stories) from the Product Backlog to the Scrum Teams Participates in Team Planning meetings and The Product Owner prioritizes defect stories and acts as the primary defect escalation contact Ensures that the Product Backlog is constantly prioritized to secure delivery of maximum business value Works in relevant structures (e.g. Scrum of Scrums) to manage dependencies and set priorities across multiple teams and Backlog items and to maintain alignment to the Release Product vision and roadmap Determines relative business value of the backlog items and uses necessary inputs such as product suite priorities and the need to address technical debt Makes sure that the resultant Product Backlog is aligned with various stakeholders including product suite product teams and architecture initiatives 3. Development Readiness
PO Lead is responsible for the supervising of the development readiness tasks for all product owners of the product owner team Analyzes to determine multi-application utilization and usage Identifys platform prioritized requirements by working with all relative stakeholders from each application Creates workflow and usage diagrams for multi-system solutions Works with architects and technical leads to determine implementation strategies and design Develop User Stories for all new functionality, architectural enhancements, and technical debt/refactoring efforts Present user stories to the teams in grooming and design sessions, ensuring that new feature and enhancements meets the acceptance criteria s the work can be designated as complete. Direct and ensure the implementation of the solutions follow the correct design and modification required for successful delivery Ensures user stories are ready for development prior to Sprint beginning with all necessary functional and non-functional details Available to provide advice, clarification, and guidance to development teams during the execution of each Sprint 4. Acceptance & Sign-off
PO Lead is responsible for the supervising of the acceptance and sign-off tasks for all product owners of the product owner team Champions consuming product engagement during the development through, for example, product demonstration and customer feedback Inspects, accepts, or rejects completed work from the development Sprint Has final sign-off of the Product Release at the different levels Facilitates communication between all impacted teams Works with stakeholders and management to resolve escalated issues and provides status updates to internal customers and leadership for customer escalations assigned to the team EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
Minimum of 4 years of product management experience in tech company, with at least 1 years leading sprints In-depth understanding of the software production process, the requirements process, and the analysis,design, and implementation process. Have experience in writing instructions to use, operating flow/procedures of the system and users. Having experience in participating in Agile/Scrum projects is an advantage. Skill Requirement
Product Knowledge : Becomes a subject matter expert in the relevant product domains. It is expected that the PO Lead will quickly become an expert in the product from a feature/functionality perspective Product Presentations : Acts as product champion and presents designs and released work to the sales teams, marketing teams, training & support personnel and select lead user customers Product Documentation: Documents and supports new feature development for internal consumption including release notes and on-line documentation Training: Prepares and conducts internal training sessions for various team members of differing levels and disciplines, including senior management, especially around the requirements definition and process Managing Stakeholders's expectation: Interface with stakeholders (in company and on client side) to understand pain points and gather inputs from data specialists to derive features development and enhancements on the product.
